Question: As a future educator, what is your degree of confidence
(range from 0% to 100%) to deal with cyberbullying among teenagers?
Tingzai
Before E-Course
“Currently I don't have any idea about how to help teenagers in this regard, hence I have little confidence that I can make a difference. This would not be the case If I know any effective way of assisting cyberbullies or victims.”
After E-Course
“I am 80% to 90% confident to solve the cyberbullying issue, if I am a teacher. This is because I have learnt a lot about different methods to stop and prevent cyberbullying among teenagers. I cannot solve the problems immediately, but I can at least do something about it.”

Before E-Course …
“… Firstly, I don’t know anything about cyberbullying, so I don’t know how to stop it. Secondly, I think it is too easy to bully people online because people post their opinion anonymously. I don't have much confidence on solving this problem."
After E-Course…
“I am 70% confident. Although this brief online training course did not cover everything in detail, I know much more about cyberbullying now after completion. Because of that I have stronger confidence in helping students to dealing with cyberbullying.”

Before E-Course…
“… I think maybe 20% to 30% confident. In my point of view, if we want to solve this problem, we should first understand it. For example, why cyberbullying happen, and why would someone want to bully others… I think it is difficult for me to solve this problem if I have to engage the cyberbully-victim on my own.”
After E-Course…
“… Maybe 60% to 70% confident, since this course provided knowledge with real life examples on different aspects of cyberbullying, progressing from easy-to-read materials to more difficult ones. The course first discussed examples on what is cyberbullying and different forms it could take. Then, it went into the knowledge of psychology of children and adolescents. There were also online learning activities to help us understand what student would be involved in cyberbullying. Now I have confidence to handle this issue.”
